Quality Control - From Approved Sample to Finished Award

Consistency matters in volume medal and trophy orders. Event organizers expect the finished product to match the approved design, while distributors need reliable compliance with their customers' specifications. Our approach is to define requirements clearly, approve samples where appropriate and inspect finished goods against agreed acceptance criteria.

1

Design and Sample Approval
Before mass production, critical details such as dimensions, logo placement, artwork and finishes should be approved. The approved sample serves as the production reference.

2

Dimensional and Visual Inspection
Inspection points include product dimensions and shape; logo placement and text accuracy; scratches, burrs and visible defects; color and finish consistency; assembly quality; and completeness of accessories and packaging.
The source specifies six dedicated QC staff and inspection stages covering incoming materials (IQC), in-process checks (IPQC), finished goods (FQC) and outgoing inspection (OQC). It also mentions AQL 2.5/1.5, inspection equipment, support for independent inspections by SGS, BV or TÜV, and pre-shipment photos or videos. [VERIFY] Confirm the actual sampling plan, equipment and third-party arrangements.

3

Consistency Across Large Orders
For high-volume medal programs, consistency from one piece to the next is critical. We recommend agreeing on all important specifications during sample approval, particularly when an order includes several award categories or designs.

4

Protective Packaging
We select packaging based on product dimensions, weight, surface finish and customer preferences to reduce the risk of damage in handling and transit.

5

After-Sales Support
Quality concerns can be reported within 30 days of receipt. Where a manufacturing defect is confirmed, the source indicates that replacement or refund arrangements may be offered and replacement freight covered. [VERIFY] Confirm the full claims procedure and contractual terms before publishing.

Certifications and Compliance

The Chinese draft lists ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management system certifications; SGS/Intertek reports and potential testing for lead, cadmium, nickel release, REACH, RoHS and CPSIA; intellectual property registrations; and business/export registrations. These should only be stated as held or available after checking current certificates, test scope, validity and applicability. Requirements vary by product and destination market.
